[ tf ] [ room no. 0739 ] i wish that i could be like the cool kids.

The Doctor's gone off to see if he might be able to see the TARDIS (again), which likely means another long, drawn out conversation with the Captain, and while Rose wouldn't mind joining him, because that's sort of what she does (and she would have liked to see the Captain again), she had decided that she'd much rather stick around their room for a bit of a sleep-in this possibly-maybe-morning.

It's not every day she gets to do that, after all, and she feels a bit like she's back at school again and it's the weekend.

Of course, she hasn't gotten more than an extra hour of sleep (and general lazing about in bed) before there's a sort of strange, unrecognizable ringing in the shared quarters. It's ... odd, and it definitely bears investigating.

Slipping on her usual pink hoodie over her pyjamas, she heads into their shared living space, inspects the replicator first (because that's got to be the first thing that would make an odd noise, right?) before having a quick look around the rest of the room ... and finally realizing it's supposed to be a door bell.

Of course.

Laughing a little in relief, and feeling more than a little foolish, she heads to the door and presses the little button that slides it open to admit her guest.

[ ooc ] permissions

basic stats.

name: Rose Marion Tyler
age: 19
sex: Female
race: Human
weight: 119 lb
height: 5'4"
appearance: here

permissions.

1. triggers:
Rose may be prone to bouts of nostalgia and sadness when 'father figures' are brought up. As her dad died when she was a baby, she never got the chance to know him ... except for the one time when she went back in time and tried to save him, only to end up nearly causing the end of the world. She has a soft spot for children without parents. She also hates being alone, and feels for those who are lonely.

2. medical info:
Rose is generally a perfectly healthy female human being. She is susceptible to the common cold, the flu, and other minor things such as that but she has a strong immune system.

3. physical contact:
Rose loves to hug. She's a very affectionate person, and will often touch someone (on the hand, the shoulder, the arm, the knee, something) when she wants to let that person know she's supporting them, and that she cares. She usually has the good sense to know whether someone is okay with that or not. As for her, feel free to touch her in that way if your character is inclined.

In terms of the opposite side of that spectrum, injuries and violence are a-okay if the thread plot lends itself to it. Rose is human so she is very fragile. She's strong, and she will kick up a fuss and defend herself as best as she can. But she is also susceptible to every injury a human being can be susceptible to. No killing her, of course, because she's only got the one life. But injuring is fine if it makes sense!

4. romance/sexual relations:
Anything romantic will have to be run by the mun, but if the natural progression of something could lead to something, Rose will absolutely let your pup know. She's not usually one to hide her feelings. Plus, she's not very good at pretending anyway. That said, just let it be known that it's likely whatever romantic relationship Rose has with your character probably won't be the true love type. Her heart belongs to the Doctor and it's in her character to ... well, be pining for him always.

5. canon-puncturing:
At the moment, Rose is not canon-punctured. She is only just starting to see that things that are fictional in her world are actually real in others. That said, if you know Rose is from the popular British TV show, Doctor Who, feel free to mentally squee and fangirl/boy her ... but definitely avoid telling her she's not real/a fictional character.

6. threadcrashing:
If it looks like it could lead to something awesome, or even just a simple lawl, I am all for threadcrashing! Just make sure to ask first, in case something was pre-planned with the other muns first. If it's all fine by everyone involved, threadcrash away!

[ ten forward ] first entrance

[ Just before: '"But that's impossible." Nothing could do that. Except for the fact that something had. Possibly impossible.' ]

The doors slide open, as spaceship doors do, to a truly interesting array of characters sitting, chatting, eating and drinking within this space Lieutenant Barclay referred to as 'Ten Forward'.

Rose had been curious to see just who Q had chosen to bring onto this ship; and while she won't really know anything until she starts to talk to people, she's quite certain it'll be difficult to spot a pattern - if there is one.

One thing's for sure, though. She's glad the Doctor is here with her. He's her tether of familiarity, which is actually a bit funny, considering how ... not afraid, but wary? she'd been of him in the very beginning when he'd changed faces. And now? Now she's glad for this face. She feels safe with this face, the way she'd felt safe with his previous (maroon jumper, leather jacket wearing) one.

"So this is it," she says as the Doctor comes to stand beside her. "The people Q's chosen for whatever he's got planned. And then us."

She wants to take his hand right now, as something like a reassurance, maybe, but she won't.
